Initially a multi-instrumentalist and hip-hop producer (Lil Uzi Vert, Nino Breeze, MMG, Etc.), Kanyun found a sudden love for creating lofi beats during the infamous COVID quarantine; or as he likes to call it, "The Great Pause". These days, he is known for his unique blend of indie-folk warmth, working in tandem with the relaxing groove of chill Lofi beats. Above all, Kanyun is deeply, deeply human.
Kanyun has produced releases in collaboration with record labels globally, such as Dreamhop, lofi cafe, Chill Moon, Purity Label, Soothe, and many others amidst his dense catalogue. He has collaborated with the most prominent artists in the Lofi space, including Mondo Loops, c4c, Mike Beating, & countless others. Recent endeavors have seen him launching his new record label; Amelia Grace Recordings, a launchpad for his own music, as well as an assisting landscape for other artists attempting to break through the noise in the Lofi space.
Excerpt from a 2024 Canvas Rebel interview:
"For me, creating things is just something I have to do in order to feel whole. There have been times in my life where music had to take a back seat in order for my basic needs of survival to be met, and man, those are always rough times. Eventually, the music always comes back and I have a massive renaissance where I fall in love with it all over again. Life is a balancing act and rediscovering that internal love for creating is like doing a delicate dance with myself.'
