Kaotus

Kaotus is a four-piece metal band from Oulu, Finland. The band’s music reflects the echoes of early 2000s alternative metal combined with more modern post-metal and post-hardcore influences. The band’s first single, Itse, was released in November 2024, followed by the single Kristallijeesus in February 2025. A five-track EP will follow in 2025. Itse was also featured on Spotify’s Metallia Suomesta editorial playlist.

The members of the band share a long history in a crossover/funk-rock band Dian, but as their musical style continued to shift towards heavier moods, the band decided to make a fresh start in 2024. Some of the Kaotus members are also active in other Oulu-based bands, such as <a href="spotify:artist:7ce62M9hBrbxMt0o4xDs6X" data-name="Vedet">Vedet</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5egEGuO98GMWfk4XeoyAwC" data-name="Kianta Waves">Kianta Waves</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4EP6QXTUoNiuguDz9AL1YN" data-name="Revulsion">Revulsion</a>.
