Victor Delacourt, known by his stage name Karasu Merodi (born August 02, 2004), is a French composer, record producer, and DJ from Dijon (France). Karasu M. began his career in 2019 by blending elements of Chiptune, Electronic, and Ambient/Downtempo music to create an original “Electro-Chiptune” style. After recording several singles, he gained recognition by releasing them on YouTube and SoundCloud. In February 2019, he independently published a selection of his best recordings on iTunes and Spotify without any label.
In 2023, he received support from Don Diablo, who selected one of his tracks as the Demoday Track of the Week in Hexagon Radio Episode 432. In July 2023, he was ranked among the top 250K artists worldwide in the “Dance” and “Electronic” categories according to Chartmetric.
Some of Karasu Merodi’s tracks are created with the help of AI, but he always maintains full artistic direction over his music. He continues to compose and produce many works either partially or entirely by himself, while others are created in collaboration with AI tools.
