Singer/songwriter Karen Abrams attended UCLA, studying psychology with the intention of becoming a therapist. But she also wrote and performed her own songs in local appearances during her college years and continued to play clubs after graduating while she spent a year in Israel. Upon her return to the West Coast, she determined to pursue a career in music. In August 2004, she got a break when the TV series Six Feet Under used her song "Always Came Back" in an episode. That song was included on her debut album, Everything Is Older, released by Betty Lee Music in the summer of 2005. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
