Karen Beckett

Karen Beckett is an internationally renowned cabaret singer, known for her powerful and moving performances. Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, Karen began performing regularly on children's TV before becoming the resident vocalist at Perth's top nightclub, Romanos, while still in high school. She then moved to Sydney to work on the club, convention, and television circuits.

Karen's sensational voice and charming, natural stage presence led her to win the "You're A Star" television quest on the 10 Network, earning her a trip to perform a cabaret season at the MGM GRAND HOTEL in LAS VEGAS. Her performance caught the attention of Bill DeAngelis, Director of Entertainment at the MGM GRAND, who predicted that the whole world would hear of her.

Since then, Karen has appeared on major TV variety shows in Australia, toured with Bob Hope and Neil Sedaka, released three albums, and won numerous awards. Her live shows are a mix of Broadway and movie classics, performed with her unique and deeply personal touch. Karen has also performed on prestigious cruise liners such as Cunard Q.E.2. and The Royal Viking Sun.
