Karen Mukupa

KAREN MUKUPA is a Zambian-Danish hip-hop artist and a pioneer of the Danish rap scene. In the early 90s, she formed the iconic band No Name Requested with the late dancehall artist Natasja, innovating the sound of Danish rap through a unique fusion of hip-hop and dancehall.
As a solo artist, Mukupa has released five albums and toured extensively across Denmark and internationally in countries such as Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Italy, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Her style is deeply rooted in hip-hop culture, while also exploring genres like pop, reggae, and afro.

Karen Mukupa re-entered the danish music scene with her album BONOBO in spring of 2023, which received great and positive reviews from danish tabloids and music critics.
She enters the new year of 2025 with her single CRED, a powerful collaboration with rap legend Pede B.
