Karen Vogt is an Australian artist who uses her voice primarily to create atmospheric compositions. Mostly known for her ethereal, shimmering vocals with Australian dream-pop band Heligoland, that she co-founded in 1999 (produced by Robin Guthrie). She also makes experimental/ambient solo works, does guest vocals and collaborations. Her duo GALÁN/VOGT makes emotive, neoclassical music infused with elements of dark ambient and shoegaze. She is currently based in Paris, France.
