Karl Agan was born and raised in Miri Sarawak. He is a singer-songwriter, a poet, also a screen print artist at Wearhouse Borneo. He developed his passion for music & poetry in his university days and began writing in 2008. He is known for his graceful melancholic and nostalgic vibes in his poetry. He published several poetry collections: Sekumpulan Epitaf dan Surat-surat yang Lewat (2014), Sunyi Merdu Di Tengah Pusaran Kata (2016), Fragmen (2018), and a few other poetry compilations: Boke (2013), Eksotikata (2014), Melompat Keluar Dari Mimpi (2015), Tukang Puisi (2018), and Hujan Bakawali di Rumah Tuhan (2018).
B-side & Rarities was his debut EP released in 2013 was recorded in his bedroom studio containing a few tracks of his rejected poems that turned out to be a fan favourite's such as "Tidurlah Sayang Selamat Malam."
