One Muslim and one Hindu dedicating their lives to Norwegian rap. Who would have thought they´d become the identity and voice of the new generation and the new world? Karpe knows how to be ahead, how to provoke, how to participate and how to unite. With their plainspoken lyrics and their honest and critical comments on society they have proven that different is good.
From playing at the local youth clubs in their teens to where they are now, sold-out arenas, several awards and performances during the Nobel Peace-price ceremony, Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and Chirag Rashmikant Patel — and their music — has gone through a journey, and their story about marginalization and exclusion has captured the majority and become mainstream.

With their latest project, OMAR SHERIFF (2022), Karpe (Chirag Rashmikant Patel and Magdi Ytreeide Abdelmaguid) entertain and challenge their audience. The concept of their new musical universe discovers the world of Magdi and Chirag's alter egos, superstars Omar and Sheriff. Karpe breaks barriers with their new material, and unites several languages and genres like no way before. Still, it undeniably sounds like Karpe.
