Manuel Knwell is a Chilean musician and producer whose work seeks to explore the subconscious of the human being, trying to provoke states of contemplation and meditation in the public. “This is how people meet the darkest part of themselves. In this way, by identifying their inner darkness, we can lead a freer and fuller life,” he explains. Currently, the theme in Manuel's compositions uses antecedents and techniques learned from ancestral cultures, covering aspects such as mysticism and the relationship between human beings and nature as a whole. In his search for a sound of his own, he was invited to work for the English musician and producer Martin Bowes' Two Gods Records label, which has produced Coil, Merzbow, Godflesh, Psychic TV, and others. In addition, he worked with the mythical Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki (a composer who participated in the soundtracks of The Exorcist and Twin Peaks II). With his Project Kasa de Orates (KDO), he has explored various styles such as dark ambient, ambient, industrial, minimalism, IDM, techno, experimental, drone, ethnic, acousmatic, free jazz, avant-garde metal, noise, trip hop, electronic experimental, and others. In his creative purpose, Manuel Knwell is always in search of new sounds to create in the listener the sensation of listening to the soundtrack of a Kubrick, Lynch, or Tarkovsky film.
