Trap/Soul artist Kastrobandit was born and raised in Far Rockaway Queens New York, then moved to Corona Queens at age 15. The environment he was around affected his music because it’s hard for people to have dreams and actually follow them with hopes of making it. Even though this was the case Kastro still had his family there to support him. Speaking of his family, his mom used to be a song writer for Bad Boy Records and wrote for artists like SWV, Tweet, and many more. Seeing his mom on big stages, on TV, doing what she loves and making a living, Kastrobandit knew one day he would be doing the same. Also receiving inspiration from his grandfather who was in a music group called BT Express, his music has been sampled recently by many producers. Speaking for Kastro’s music, it can be classified as a mix of trap, drill, and soul. Hoping to include something for everyone in his drops, versatility is what Kastrobandit harps on. With a performance at Tangra Nightclub in Tampa, FL late last year, he looks to get booked for many more shows in the coming months. As for his releases, Kastrobandit’s last two singles have had his fans raving. “Confused” just hit over 75,000 streams on all platforms as well as his single “King Tut” which just surpassed 35,000 views on Youtube. With plans of an album in the coming months as well as some more visuals, look out for Kastrobandit as he is on the fast track to the top of the music industry.
