Kat French (and no, she doesn’t speak French) is an alternative singer-songwriter turning growing pains into guitar hooks. Known for her autobiographical lyrics and infectious melodies, fans have compared her style to Paramore, boygenius, and The 1975.
A graduate of the Los Angeles Academy for Artists & Music Production (LAAMP), a program founded by Stargate, Kat has been mentored by some of the industry’s top artists, songwriters, and producers. Through LAAMP, she earned opportunities like working with Katy Perry’s Firework Foundation.
Early in her journey, Kat caught the attention of 30 Seconds to Mars, who reposted her cover of “The Kill” on their official Instagram. She’s since been featured on platforms like Brandy Melville and We Found New Music (WFNM), steadily building a fanbase drawn to her vulnerability, edge, and unfiltered sound.
