Kat & The Kodachromes is the full band realization of songwriter Kat Kirschmann. Now a four-piece, Kat & The Kodachromes are a genre-fluid band blending primarily power pop and folk rock based in the Twin Cities, MN. The upbeat rhythms, rock n’roll riffs and Kat's agile melodies often disguise more serious subject matter. The last EP 'Popular Problems" explores a mix of both societal issues like gun violence and inequity, as well as more universal predicaments like heartbreak and loneliness. Their upcoming EP, Jack of All Trades, follows in a similar vein in that it is a combination of both personal confession, commentary and clever criticisms of the powers that be. It is set to release January 2nd 2026 available on all streaming platforms.
