Kat (Katrina Roshan) is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter born in Kuala Lumpur to mixed parentage with a Malay father and a Chinese mother. Musically inclined since young, she started playing the piano at age 5 and then took up the violin and guitar later on. She was also discovered to have perfect pitch.
At 14 years old, she was introduced to Chossy Pratama, an esteemed music producer and composer from Jakarta. She released his song, ‘Rasa’, on 8th April 2020. Kat also released her first English single ‘You’ on 28th May 2020.
She received ‘Homegrown Artist of the Month’ from HitzFM in October 2020. Kat is currently being mentored by Malaysia's veteran and well-known music producer, Ong Peng Chu.
Her debut album, 'Attachments' was released on 28th May 2023. Notably, 4 of the songs were produced by Billboard #1 producer Richard Harris. The album presents a catalog of songs, ranging from acoustic ballads to more electronic dance music.
