Kathleen Bertrand

Atlanta has long been known for breeding great musicians, and jazz singer Kathleen Bertrand is another in the legacy. With her three-octave range, Bertrand has captivated audiences worldwide. In 1999, she independently released All of Me to open arms at jazz stations around the world. Tracks from that album were heard from New York to Brazil to Great Britain. Performances at the 1999 and 2000 Montreaux Jazz Festival's Concerts Acoustique, along with the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Sinbad Soul Music Festival, and the National Black Arts Festival 2000 have done no harm to her career either. Bertrand has shared the stage with artists ranging from David Benoit to the Sounds of Blackness. She is also in great demand for her rendition of the National Anthem, having performed it for Atlanta's professional sports teams - the Falcons, Braves, and Hawks - and Presidents Bush and Clinton. Signing with Gold Circle Records, Bertrand released No Regrets in early 2002. Full of soulful tunes of love and life, the album earned warm embraces from the jazz community.
