Katie Devine is an independent Contemporary-Christian singer/songwriter, from Staten Island, New York. Growing up in a musical family, she quickly became inspired to create songs herself. Her favorite childhood memory was impromptu Friday night gatherings in her grandparent's living room, watching friends and family play their woodwind instruments and sing aloud. Around the age of 11, her love for songwriting unfolded and she began teaching herself how to play the piano. Shortly after, she became fascinated with the recording process and started creating demos on garage band. She learned the importance of harmony and ear training from her mother always singing along to every song she heard. Since then, she has performed at venues such as The Bowery Electric, The Hop Shoppe, the Phunky Elephant, and the Kettle Black, to name a few. Some compare her voice to the likes of Trisha Yearwood, Carrie Underwood, and Sarah Watkins.
