Katie Underwood is a singer, songwriter, music producer and multi-instrumentalist, with a career spanning 25 years.
She began in 1999 with a collaboration with UK trance artist Terra Ferma, followed soon after by joining Australian pop band Bardot.
Her solo career took off with the release of 'Beautiful,' written with Disco Montego, winning the APRA award in 2003 for Best Dance work. Beautiful held the No. 1 spot on the ARIA Club Chart for 12 consecutive weeks. Her follow-up single 'Danger" was nominated for an APRA award in 2004.
Katie's work with DJ/producer Mr Timothy resulted in the chart-topping single 'Be Together' hitting No. 1 on the ARIA Club chart. The song was later signed by Ministry Of Sound, further solidifying Katie's presence in the dance music scene. in 2009 she produced her own jazz/blues album. In 2018, Katie embarked on an exploration of mantra & meditation music, producing, writing and recording 6 more albums in the new age genre.
After the recent re-release of the original Bardot album in 2020, Katie reunited with Belinda Chapple to form Ka'Bel in 2021, captivating audiences once again with a nostalgic pop sound.
Katie is now recording new dance music and re-releasing her vast back catalogue.
