Katmaz is the singer/songwriter project of Matthew Kaz, a multi-instrumentalist and producer. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Katmaz&#39;s journey from the snowy streets of Buffalo to the vibrant music scene of Los Angeles is a testament to his artistic evolution.

Amid the gloomy summer of 2020, Katmaz embarked on an inspiring adventure. Leaving his home in Brooklyn, NY, he traveled across the United States in a van. Along the way, he recorded demos that captured the essence of his experiences. This remarkable expedition spanned three months and covered a breathtaking 20 National Parks.

The culmination of this extraordinary journey was the creation of his debut LP, &#34;Tell Me How Great You Are.&#34; During this transformative period, Katmaz decided to move to Los Angeles, where he reunited with his best friend from high school to open NNL Studios.

Katmaz&#39;s music is characterized by its emotive, soulful qualities and his distinctive, emotionally charged voice. He approaches music with a visual sensibility, expanding his sonic landscape by incorporating electronic production elements while still preserving the warmth of analog equipment.
