As the pulse of the music industry continues to transform, emerging NYC singer / songwriter Katt Rockell continues to serve up her own mix of soul-stirring, r&b vibes her way. With hard hitting beats, riveting vocals and lessons of love and loss, Katt takes the listener on a ride that lingers in their minds long after the journey is over.
A BMG Publishing songwriter, Katt has collaborated with several elite and award-winning artists and producers including John Legend, Rick Ross, The Lox and Dave East. Katt most recently co-wrote and was featured on "Feel Alive" by DJ D-Sol which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Dance Chart and was also featured on Maybach Music V from Rick Ross' project, Rather You Than Me. Her songwriting accolades include a number 1 Top 100 single for Asian superstar Joey Yung.
Katt is currently in the studio working on her upcoming EP with production heavyweights BudaDaFuture and GrandzMuzik (Meek Mill, Mary J Blige, Rick Ross). Influenced by an array of musical giants including Michael Jackson, Sade, A Tribe Called Quest and Shirley Caesar, Katt's brand of hip-hop soul has a style all it's own.
