The soundtrack to your life definitely needs a few training-montage tracks, and I make a lot of those. We're all the hero of our own stories, and every hero needs a handful of soundtracks because each day is a different struggle. On my album "Big Dark Energy" (tee-hee), the recipe was soaring 80s-style synthwave mixed with power metal riffs & shredding guitar.

Now comes "Eastern Power," released 12/4/25. It takes rock, metal and synthwave and fuses them with folk and traditional styles from across Eastern cultures. Each track pays tribute to a different region's folk music with a specific historical/cultural theme. I thought it was a unique way to create new kinds of heavy rock that, like all my music, makes you wanna drive fast, train hard, vanquish the bad guy, win the prize, save the world, etc. -- all while introducing Western audiences to some of these incredible musical traditions. Heavy riffs are the universal language!
