Bristol raised, Brighton based, Iranian rapper/songwriter ‘kavzad’ has continuously evolved his sound over a number of years, creating a plethora of tracks suited for all moods and vibes.
Although he was pushed by his parents to stick to a conventional career path studying medicine, kavzad remained determined to pursue his passion for music and left his degree aged 19. Diving into music full-time in Brighton, his debut release ‘Breathe’ accumulated over 100K streams and received various accolades including Song of the Year at the 2021 Daboothe&Maxx Awards, peaking at #1 on the Ujima Radio Chart Show, accumulating thousands of streams on Spotify Discover Weekly, etc.
His following releases were received really well, with The Truth getting Editorial support from Spotify (Fresh Finds UK), and kavzad’s momentum continued.
After spending some time refining his sound, kavzad dropped his debut EP ‘A TALE OF TWO MINDS’ following the release of the lead single ‘WATCH ME’ Feat. @<a href="spotify:artist:3hVlIX6GURmf5xk5HbSYAx" data-name="Brieya May">Brieya May</a> . His distinctive Alternative Hip-Hop sound coupled with Brieya’s soothing RnB vocals has meant the single gained European traction; it was regularly spun on National French Radio (Mouv’), peaking at #2 on their charts and broke into the top 100 Hip-Hop/RnB Shazam chart too, with over 15,000 shazams and 400k streams across all platforms.
