Pop and R&B singer/songwriter Kaylin Kiara was born in LES, New York where she spent her early childhood. At 7 years old, she moved to the Clason Point section of the Bronx, New York and grew up there.
Kaylin always had an ear for music, but discovered her passion for singing at 10 years old when asked to cover a song at her 5th grade graduation.
She went on to attend the performing arts program at the Kip’s Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx, with well-known alumni including Jennifer Lopez. When Kaylin was 13, she landed the role of Amneris in Kip’s Bay’s off-Broadway production of Aida. She eventually auditioned for and was the only person in her grade to get accepted into the famous Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (also known as High School of Performing Arts), made famous by the 1980s movie, Fame. There she studied vocal music and was classically trained.
Kaylin posted her first Spanish single on Soundcloud at 20 years old, and has continued to work on music ever since.
