KAYS

Kays aka “Ibn al-Mulawwah” is a music producer from south Lebanon, he grew up surrounded by Arabic rhythms and percussions since his father founded a folkloric dance group/Zaffeh (Layali Al Ouns) in 2006, when Kays was only five years old. That early exposure deeply influenced his sense of rhythm, culture, and musical storytelling.
His journey began in 2019 creating hip-hop beats and techno music without releasing any of it. During September 2024, when the war in South Lebanon started, he discovered a free Korg sample pack online and started experimenting with it, he blended Arabic rhythms “Saidi, Baladi, Maksoum, etc.” with deep electronic textures and western scales, chords to create his unique sound.
