Kaz Kuwamura

Kaz Kuwamura is a singer/songwriter with roots in gospel music and a sense of melody that he has created through a variety of genres including Soul, Funk, Rock, and Pops, providing songs for a wide range of artists. His melodies are characterized by subtlety, boldness, and novelty, and he believes in a style that allows the artist's voice to shine through.

He started playing in a band when he was in college, and then left music to teach English at junior high school, high school, and university. After that, he started his music career again. He has participated as a backing up singer in the live performances of Nicholas Edwards, a three-time winner of the World's Greatest Hits of the Year, and Mitsuo Iwata, a well-known voice actor. His song "Love is everything" as artist Kaz Kuwamura won the J-MELO AWARD on NHK WORLD's music program "J-MELO" Breakthrough Artist showcase, as voted by viewers. The song has been aired in more than 150 countries around the world.

Kaz is also an award-winning Tokyo – based singer/songwriter/lyricist/vocal producer, whose credits include many chart topping tracks and theme songs for Anime, drama and movie, earning him numerous amounts of Gold disk and Platinum disk’s. He’s been actively working globally with songwriters/producers/artists around the world, joining on writing camps as well worldwide.
