KEAT

With an affinity for nostalgia, KEAT seeks to capture the earnesty of synthwave with the eclectic sensibilities of modern electro-pop. Deeply rooted in the fast-moving cosmopolitan culture of his home city, the classically-trained Singaporean vocalist-turned-electronic-producer draws his influences from the likes of Troye Sivan, The Midnight and Jessie Ware.

His writing mirrors his candid nature and offers more than what it seems; a vulnerability edged by hints of playfulness. Selected as a mentee as part of the National Arts Council’s Noise Music Mentorship Programme 2020, KEAT was mentored by prolific DJ and producer Kaye and has performed at reputable stages such as Esplanade’s All Things New and Baybeats Open Stage.

His performances continue to invite his audiences into a world of wonder, reflection and liberation, often punctuated with his signature brand of tongue-in-cheek humour and wit. With the ability to harness his impressionable stage presence into the world of digital content, KEAT also continues to produce well-lauded synthwave covers of Top 40s music alongside his original content. He released his debut EP "I WAS DUMB BUT NOW IM WOKE" in 2020 and follows it up with his ode to self-love "from me, to me, by me." in October 2023.
