Keeskea (case-kay-ah) is the “lofty and delicate, yet fiercely present and potent” (Laundry Echo) project of Kaurna based solo artist V Marousopoulos.
With a unique gift for making sense of what’s tangled, V unwinds sensitive emotions to their threadbare state with their vintage Harmony Alden H45 Stratotone and whisper-close vocals, couching them in gentle electronic production, but leaving more than enough space for reflection and reconnection.
Their debut single ‘You Did’ gained airplay with triple j including on Home & Hosed, also impressing the likes of Majestic Casual, The Wild Honey Pie (US) and triple j Unearthed, who featured it in their podcast, with the station’s Music Director Dave Ruby Howe confessing himself “floored by the piercing delicacy” of the track. Equally stunned by its idiosyncratic beauty, artist-centric indie label Hobbledehoy Record Co. welcomed Keeskea to their tight-knit family, which also includes Arrows, Deafcult, Sophie Hutchings, Bec Stevens and more.
