Kekeno (keh-keh-no) is the project of David Barker, a producer and multi-instrumentalist living near Nottingham, UK. He combines acoustic instruments with field recordings and found sounds to create beats that pulse with the hidden rhythms of day-to-day life.
Growing up in a rural coastal town in the North East of England, he took classical guitar lessons at an early age and later became drawn to sound recording, picking up electric guitar, bass guitar, piano and vocals along the way. Experimentations with sequencing and synthesisers followed naturally, leading to a love for hazy, warm and nostalgic sounds.
