If music feeds the spirit and nourishes the soul, the industry will soon take notice of the creative flair singer/songwriter Kela brings to the table.
Born to a musical family, the Georgia native is ready to step into the world and carve a path all her own -- one which draws inspiration from not only her immediate inner circle but world-renowned artists including Erykah Badu, Brandy and Jill Scott.
Though not quite a household name yet, Kela has already begun making waves in entertainment. As part of the acclaimed gospel group Ahmad Hall and Friends, she recently appeared in the documentary, I AM MLK JR.
"I bring swag, attitude and humor to my music." She explained. "My voice is an instrument, and so I like to mimic different sounds and effects with an alluring ambiance."
Kela is currently hard at work on her debut project. In the meantime, music fans can take an early ear to her soulful sounds via their favorite digital service provider. On the cellestial cut, "That Space," the future star teams up with W!ll and T-Lee for a melodic mantra for anyone who's ever had to declare their independence from a lover hopelessly stuck on stupid.
In an era where mogul has become somewhat synonymous with musicians, Kela, of course, is already building her brand. Since childhood, music has been a dream. And despite still being in the early stages of a very promising career, Kela has already has her sights set on using her talents as a tool to change and uplift the lives of others.
