Kelly Bado’s album Belles Âmes is set to be released on May 2, 2025, followed by Canadian, European, and Asian tours. Produced by Brian "Sweetwesty" West (Nelly Furtado, K’NAAN, Sia, Maroon 5, Awolnation), a two-time Grammy nominee and seven-time Juno Award winner, this new project blends the African vibe of Angélique Kidjo with the soulful serenity of Yuna and the innovative sound of Stromae. In a groundbreaking achievement, Kelly becomes the first Black Francophone artist of African descent to sign with Odd Dolls Records, a new women-owned anglophone label based in the Manitoba prairies.
Kelly is eager to follow up with her first English EP in 2026, produced by Three-times Grammy Award winner and Juno Award winner, Chin Injeti. This project will continue to build on her signature fusion of tradition and modernity, offering a fresh and bold exploration of musical and cultural expression.
Originally from Côte d'Ivoire and now based in Manitoba, Kelly Bado has made a name for herself through collaborations with renowned artists and performances alongside Alessia Cara, Walk Off the Earth, Marie Mai, and Angélique Kidjo. Her deep-rooted passion for her cultural heritage and dedication to preserving the French and African languages have solidified her reputation as an unparalleled ambassador for musical diversity.
