Kelly Danté

Kelly Danté is a UK singer, rapper and songwriter with a unique Anglo-Indian heritage. Perhaps most known for her viral Soundcloud hit 'Roses & Violets' so far, the Point Blank Music School London Alumni is celebrated for her soothing yet dynamic vocals and hook-writing prowess.

Kelly has appeared on radio, TV shows and festivals such as BBC Introducing and M.I.A’s Meltdown Festival, as well as featured in videos by Tinashe, The Lineup and Shameless Maya.

Lyrically, she delivers playfully bold punchlines and sticky ear-worm hooks that simultaneously soothe and energise the spirit. Kehlani, Doja Cat and Kali Uchis are some of the talented artists she is inspired by.

Kelly wrote 'Bondi Blue' during 2020's lockdown about fake tanning in lieu of tanning on the beach, as a tongue-in-cheek, light-hearted metaphor for prioritising self care during unpredictable times. The "fun, infectious" Pop-R&B song with modern yet classic Dua Lipa-meets-Cassie vibes recently aired on BBC Introducing.

Now, Kelly has re-releasing ‘Roses &amp; Violets’ with an updated sound that stays true to her vibrant nature, crafted in collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:0KS6ZAMdGR9BZ2npDKs3rI" data-name="LXGEND">LXGEND</a>. It showcases how Kelly’s sound has matured since the 2017 lo-fi hip-hop tune was first released, with a fuller, richer soundscape of mesmerising harmonies, along with a subtle ode to the classic lo-fi hip-hop original with it’s blend of soulful guitar over pulsating drums.
