Kelvin Yuen

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Kelvin is a composer, music designer and cellist.

In 2024, Kelvin has joined force with the renowned film editor/art director, William Chang Suk Ping, on scoring two Hong Kong feature film named "Little Red Sweet" directed by Vincent Chow and "Someone Like Me" directed by Tam Wai Ching. One of Kelvin's scored documentary projects, titled “Eagles Rest in LiangShan” directed by Bohao Liu, won the 48th Student Academy Award (Domestic Documentary) and the 41st Emmy College Television Award. Additionally, Kelvin had the privilege in collaboration with Cannes Palme d'Or-winning director Tang Yi on her short film “Yokelan 66” supported by Vogue China. The film has won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2022 AFI Fest.

Since September 2021, Kelvin expanded his expertise into interactive music, taking on the role of Music Designer at PlayStation Studios, Sony Interactive Entertainment. Kelvin contributed music design, music editing, music arrangement, additional composition and implementation for in-game materials and cinematics on multiple acclaimed AAA titles such as "God of War: Ragnarök", "Marvel's Spider-man 2", Death Stranding 2: On the Beach", "Ghost of Yotei", etc. In 2023, Kelvin's music editing work for "God of War: Ragnarök" has received international acclaim, including the Outstanding Achievement in Music Editing – Game Music award at the 70th Golden Reel Awards presented by the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE).
