My highest aspiration as a songwriter would be to create what I call the “shiver effect.”
 
This is that rare moment when the music and the lyrics of a song combine so perfectly and unexpectedly, that it actually sends a shiver up your spine. If I ever achieved that in even one listener, I would feel that I had really created a work of art.
