Kencash, known as Kenneth Chase Cash, is a 21 year old college student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is studying to become an Environmental Specialist with GIS experience, but a strong passion of his, is to become a producer, beat maker, and musician. Music has always been a central aspect of Cash's life, picking up hip hop and rap around the beginning of high school. As time progressed, Cash started to make his own music.
Cash has been a multi-instrumentalist since the early days of his childhood. Learning guitar, bass, drums, piano, and others introduced him to the local music scene. As he became more proficient with his instruments he began to take up other forms of music such as singing, beatboxing, and music production. Cash's early music drew inspiration from hip hop, trap, and rock genres. As he has progressed in his musicianship, he has taken a new approach to his music by producing lo-fi, chill hop, and boom bap hip hop instrumentals. The lo-fi scene really attracted Cash in a way that other genres didn't. Lo-fi production was more relatable and meaningful than mainstream hiphop production.
Now in college, Cash plans to take his music making more seriously and enhance his abilities to create music for others to listen to. Producing isn't as much of a hobby now, as it is a method of artistic expression. Follow along with Cash's journey and musical endeavors on social media.
