McKinley Jackson, better known by his stage name Kene Wayne, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and rapper. He is regarded as one of the most charismatic artists of his times.

Born in New Orleans and raised in Four Corners, Louisiana, Kene Wayne began his musical career in the early 2000s. His mother and father played an essential role in the development of his talents, where they introduced him to the church, and began the fostering of his musical talents.

Shortly after his mother passed, Kene began to cultivate his love for music, he entered talent shows at his alma mater, West St. Mary High School, where he instantly made a name for himself. On the day of his high school graduation, Kene was faced with a dilemma; to either walk across the stage and obtain his diploma, or pursue his musical journey at the New York International Music Festival. Kene chose the latter, immediately following his performance, he received several calls from major record labels. In 2008, he moved to Seattle, Washington, where he made waves as a pronounced artist.

Kene Wayne has performed with some of the industry’s greats, such as Kanye West, T.I, Plies and B.O.B. After the passing of his grandmother, Kene returned to Louisiana, which motivated him to continuously seek greatness through music. His southern slangs coupled with his strong vocal abilities, makes him a musical rarity. Kene Wayne, is THE NEW SOUND that we’ve been waiting for!
