Born in Kenya, adopted by Malawi. Kenny honed his craft in the state of Louisiana before launching his career in Malawi with a chart topping Afro-pop song Ngati Mafunde in 2005.

Since then, Kenny Gilmore has released three more albums; Colourblind (2013) and Kenny Alone (2022), and Cafe La Esquina (2024). Singles released include Rock and Roll Heart (2021), and Grooving on the Shire (2022) and in May 2024 - Chico Timido!

A musical adventurer at heart, Kenny seeks to write impactful songs that are inspired by the rhythms of Latin-America and Africa, but also re-interpret the American art form of playing the blues.
