Kenri Louis, was born and raised on the Islands of St. Martin and St. Barths. His passion for music began at a young age as he grew up with music all around and in every aspect of island life. Deejaying in his early teens and then touring as stage tech (for a reggae/Soul band) opened the creative door to his writing and freestyle. Although French, English was his mother tongue his style lead those closest to him coining the nickname KENRI, which is French slang for the American. Later picking up a guitar, he was self-taught and perfected his skills we can fast forward to present day. A revolutionary, poetics and epic sound. His music resonates the influences of (Bob Marley, Marvin Gay, 2 Pac, Nina Simone, Prince, Billy Holiday). 2019 saw the debut, with the release of the single “BODYO”, and INNA ME HEAD, simultaneously being broadcast on Trace Caribbean TV which brought media exposure around the world. Followed in 2020 - 2023 “LIFE IS SO PRECIOUS “, “STRANGE LOVE” and CHERRY. His musical evolution brings the audience a newly profound creative identity. his Caribbean influence & blending them with lyrics derived from several English “patois” or “slang” including Creole. A melting pot of the lyrical mind of Kenri Louis with Afro Caribbean beats. Grafting various melodies from the Caribbean. with latest new singles like "HOPE, "OVERTIME", IRRATIONAL, and a New release OUT APRIL 10th "STRUGGLE" a spiritual and revolutionary message for the youths.
