Kenya Murakz is an emerging artist in the Afropop and Amapiano fusion scene, recognized for his distinctive sound and cultural influences. Born in Kenya and raised in the UK, he incorporates three languages into his music, adding depth and uniqueness to his tracks.
His music blends energetic beats with smooth melodies, perfect for both dancing and relaxation. Influenced by artists like Diamond Platnumz, Omah Lay, Burna Boy, and Sauti Sol, Kenya effortlessly mixes genres and collaborates across cultures.
Initially pursuing a career in football after moving to the UK at 13, Kenya discovered a passion for music later on. The positive reception of his first demo, "Trumpet," at an open mic event in Manchester, led him to focus on music seriously. Since then, he has worked with top industry professionals, including Grammy-nominated songwriter Hannah V and Omah Lay's vocal engineer Damjan Blazun. His career highlights include recording at Abbey Road Studios and being featured on DHL Fast Track Sessions 2024.
Kenya has released singles like "Risk on Me," which earned a spot on BBC Introducing's Ones to Watch, and "Jamani," which received broad coverage on BBC Introducing Northwest.
Known for his electrifying live performances, Kenya has played at venues such as Abbey Road Studios and Manchester Carnival. He connects deeply with his audience, ensuring they leave inspired.
