Kept On Hold is the "chill-pop punk" solo project of Andrew Alojipan, hailing from Detroit, MI, fulfilling the genre stereotype, when occasionally performing as a full-band "with his friends."
From coast to coast, about 200 days a year, Kept On Hold continues to leave its mark in numerous cities throughout the DIY scene, leaving people heavy hearted with nostalgia and raw voices from singing along to what felt like their own high school heartaches.

"I used to struggle with insecurity and self consciousness, so badly that it often crippled me into inaction, for fear of doing something 'unlikable'." Says Andrew, explaining how he got his start. "Nowadays, I play these songs to let people know that they don't need the approval of others, and that it's okay to be real with themselves, because they're worth getting to know."
The most recent single "Fine China" tells a story about self worth, fairweather friends, and moving on. Kept On Hold's sophomore release is currently under way @Tumtum Studios. With hints of the last release's darker emo undertones, like Fine China, "this year is gonna be different."
