Kerry Harvick grew up on a farm in Texas, where her singing and songwriting talent was evident early on. She moved to Nashville when she was 19, landing a spot on the Live at Libby's radio show, where she caught the ear of manager Don Light, who helped secure her a publishing deal with Cal IV Music. After her song, "Til Nothing Comes Between Us," was a hit for <a href="spotify:artist:7mPcfx7PhnBh6n4HMCd61A">John Michael Montgomery</a>, Harvick was signed to Lyric Street Records, who paired her with producer Byron Gallimore in the studio.
