Kers Kobain

Kers Kobain AKA KERS, born in Los Angeles California, raised in the city of La Puente(Bassett side) was always around music, both parents were musicians. Mom sang at church, father had a band. (conjunto) As a kid I sang in my fathers band, 2-3 songs mostly cumbia and some traditional Mexican music. That wasn’t really my thing, Hip-Hop was always playing in peoples cars or Lo-Lo’s and that got my attention. The name Kers (Curse) came from a friend, we were graffiti writers and every time he came to pick me up my moms would curse at me and him for staying out too late. So one day he said: damn homie, yo moms always cursing you out laughing at me. Then it clicked in my head….. Curse but K.E.R.S. Kers One was born. I love all kind of music, Rap, Spanish, Rock, Soul, Im heavy into vinyl and I have a huge collection. Kobain comes from Kurt Cobain, Nirvana is one of my favorite bands and I love Kurt’s lyrics. Artist that inspire my style are: Rakim, Ice Cube, Nas, 2Pac, WU-Tang, Black Moon, Gangstarr. I don’t really label myself, I’m not this style or that style. I’m just Hip-Hop
