KESÄMUISTOT is a Emmaboda based duo from Sweden. KESÄMUISTOT means ”Summer memories” in finnish.
With both Sanna and Samuel sharing a common finno-ugric heritage - Sanna having her roots in Finland and Samuel in Estonia - KESÄMUISTOT seemed a natural name for the project.
Their first singel ”Minun rakkain” was created one evening after reminiscing an summers memory of Samuel driving 3000km to bring Sanna back home from northern Finland. First came the lyrics while sharing a bottle of wine in their sofa, then the music production started and every note came to life with ease.
Samuel has previously produced music for other artists with some songs having over 50 000 streams and others being nominated "Song of the week" in P4 Kalmar. Sanna has hosted a talk-show on Sveriges Radio and is famous for her stereotypical knife art.
Neither of them have released music made by themselves, until now.
