Kevin Gómez is a Colombian indie and R&B singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Cali. His sound is a proper mash-up of indie pop and hip hop, marked by laid-back, melodic vibes and hooks that stick in your head. On stage and in the studio, Gómez handles vocals, synth, keys, and guitar.
He kicked off his career in 2020, mucking in with a few mates and producer Robinson Aponte. That same year he dropped his debut single “Faster”, which went down a storm online and had listeners buzzing for more. By the end of 2020, he’d put out his first extended play (EP), Magical World Trash Minds (MWTM).
Come 2021, Gómez served up a double EP, Inside of My Happiness, featuring the tune “Cool Summer”, one of his biggest bangers to date. His most recent album, Thank U, Goodbye Now, has pulled in over 400,000 streams worldwide, cementing his place as one to watch.
Since July 2022, Gómez has been grafting away on a new album. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster — he’s penned loads of tunes but binned off the early ones, reckoning they didn’t match the level he’s aiming for. Proper perfectionist, he’s eyeing 2027 for the album drop. Before that, he’s keen to knock out an EP that’ll mess about with a fresh style, giving fans a cheeky taste of where he’s heading next.
