KGenius

KGenius is a reggae vocalist and guitarist originally hailing from St. Catherine, Jamaica. With over 10 years of industry experience playing across the country and abroad, KGenius, a household name in the reggae circuit looks to uplift spirits, hearts and minds through music.

KGenius has been involved in Jamaica’s sound system culture from as early as the 80s. His formative years were spent traveling around Jamaica performing on hardcore dancehall stages, where he would develop and nurture his talent as a reggae artist and MC.

His debut EP titled ‘Disclosure’ was released in 2010. KGenius filmed, directed and edited the music video “Watch the Struggle” from his Disclosure EP.

KGenius’ second EP, ‘Deeply Rooted’ was a pivotal milestone for KGenius as it allowed him to capture the intensity of his live show in an album format.

KGenius’ most recent singles, Revolution & Revolution (Twi version) has earned him a place in Ghana & the worlds’ reggae history as the First Jamaican to record a Twi song. KGenius is delighted at this accomplishment as he felt it necessary to sing this particular song (inspired by his first visit to Ghana) in Twi (the most commonly spoken language of Ghana). KGenius looks forward to doing more Twi & probably other local African dialect songs to expose his music to an even wider audience.
