Khadijah

"Khadijah” is a singer/songwriter hailing from Newark, NJ. Her music can be described as a blend of R&B, pop, and hip-hop, with splashes of reggae, swirled together to create a fresh sound that combines catchy melodies, and confident storytelling, along with soothing and seductive vibes that are an instant mood-setter. Luscious harmonies meet effortless vocals in Khadijah’s original music. She describes herself like this: “I’m not a singer. I’m an artist. When I’m recording in the studio, I free myself of all categorizations. I do what I want with my instrument, and it feels good to my soul.” 

Khadijah’s passion for music and the arts came about almost instinctively when she was a child. She began showcasing her talent early in life and started diligently working towards actualizing her dreams. In the 5th grade, Khadijah began writing poetry as an avenue of expression and shortly after, started singing. Influences range from mega stars like Doja Cat, Chris Brown, Lauryn Hill, Migos, Rihanna, Brandy, and Christina Aguilera. Her connection to the music allows the lyrics to flow and anchor the feelings and emotions in her songs. “When I step outside of my music, it reminds me of watching a TV show. Where all my songs are like different characters or like one dynamic character that’s always changing, growing, feeling something new…because I am not just one way. Sometimes I love the world, sometimes I hate it, but both times I was me.”
