Born and raised on a twin Island in the Caribbean known as ‘Antigua & Barbuda’. Khali1k resided in Antigua on the east side of the capital in a village called St. Johnston village, where he was first exposed to music.
Growing up; at a very young age, the artist wrote his first song at the age of 7 years old. The artist was inspired by dancehall artists such as Vybz Kartel , Blak Ryno , Tommy Lee Sparta and Hip Hop/Rap artists like 2Pac , Lil Wayne , Wiz Khalifa , Chief Keef and more. In late 2016 he moved to Canada and it was there that his passion for creating incredible flows and hardcore punch lines evolved and started gaining others attention. After a few years, the artist finally found the sound he was seeking for, and the rest is history.
In 2019 when asked what type of sound/style he would describe his music as, he came up with the term ‘Island Drill’ an he went into details to describe the genre as a mix of his Caribbean background which include the genre of Dancehall and US genre Hip Hop/Rap and Uk drill music. In early February 2021, the artist released his first single "Let's Have Some Fun," since then he’s been releasing consistently. On December 2nd 2022 The artist released his first E.P Titled Island Drill it is consist of 6 tracks with each of them having their own different sound and story. With his unique sound the artist is confident that he will leave a mark on the music industry and inspire others around the world.
