Kibbo’s 20LVE20 is his love letter to love. ​

The lyrics place different shades of love and the comfort within them over 5 tracks with influences from Afrobeats, Pop and Electronic Music. ​

The first single, Sweet Love, is an explores that “first love” feeling and all the certainty, confidence and naivety that comes with it.


WHO IS KIBBO?

Kibbo is a musician, historian and teacher.

​All requiring passion, practise, patience and persistence, he tries to nurture these in his own life and the lives of his students.​

Kibbo’s influence on his students, however, does not go unreciprocated as they and their perceptions of the city they grow up in plays a significant role in the shaping of his own beliefs and subsequently his music.


FIVEWAYS

FIVEWAYS was inspired by a converged road Junction in SW9 London.

To Kibbo, it exemplified how different an experience living in the city is for different people.

The 2019 EP was Kibbo’s first work with East London Producer Jay Jay Musika whose RnB pedigree, recognised by 1Xtra’s Charlie Sloth, set a crisp platform for what Eric Alper described as Kibbo’s “cool guitar strumming and trembling melodies”.


COLLABORATION

Kibbo’s music rests on the a number of key collaborators.

His visual direction is driven by his brother, the founder of London animation studio Sentio Space.

His production, mixing and mastering is all credited to Jay Jay Musika of Musika Studios.
