an artist who channels life’s raw intensity into Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae. His journey in music began with countless hours of self-guided study, immersing himself in diverse sounds and styles. These early explorations helped him master his melodies and refine his lyrical skills—a focus that became even sharper after an A&R's advice to elevate his pen game.
Kick 5000’s life has been marked by hardship and perseverance. He lost his father at the age of three, his older brother received a life sentence when he was thirteen, and by fifteen, his mother passed away. Left without immediate family in the state, he and his siblings had to navigate survival on their own. Yet out of this struggle, music became both a refuge and a weapon.
His rap journey began as a joke—mocking a friend’s lyrics—until that friend challenged him to write his own. What started as a playful dare became a passion. Writing verse after verse in a composition book, Kick 5000 soon joined "The Goons," a local rap group out of Carol City, Florida. Formed by four childhood friends, The Goons wasn’t just a group—it was a brotherhood driven by a hunger for the best bars and the pure love of hip hop.
The name "Kick 5000" is more than just a stage name. It’s a childhood nickname given to him by the older G’s in his neighborhood—a reminder of where he came from and the battles he's overcome.
