Kid Jesus

KID Jesus is a Georgian music band, started in 2012 by Levan Shanshiashvili.
The band was named after his son, Jesus. At this time, Levan (vocals, guitar) was joined by Tsotne Chikobava (bass) and Archil Shioshvili (drum). Band gave its first performance on "Aivani season 2" at Tbilisi Event hall.

First local success of “KID Jesus” was becoming winner of “Tbilisi NEWCOMERS contest” in 2012.
Following this event, in 2013, band performed at the largest open air festival in caucausus, Tbilisi Open Air, being the only local band on the stage, along with popular international artists such as The Subways, Modeselektor, Tricky and Deep Purple and etc.

Since 2014 Levan continued solo career under the name of “KID Jesus”.

In 2014, Kid Jesus released his first EP 'Hikikomori' which was well received by local listeners and critics.
Since that time, Levan collaborated with various artists, including Georgian singer-songwriter Natuka Natsvlishvili, Iranian musician Siavesh Hakim and String Quartet often experimenting with music genres, sounds and instruments.

In 2017, KID Jesus released his first full-length album “White Rat”, followed by acoustic and electronic shows, as well as re-worked live version of an album with String Quartet.

Levan is currently working on a new album due in 2019.
