Austinite David Wilson and Brazilian born New Yorker Leo Moretti met at a party at a micro brewery in Rio de Janeiro Brazil in 2015. The two bonded over their love of 80’s synth pop and new wave and thus decided to form Kid Le Chat. In 2017 they released the eponymous first album produced in home studios set up in their apartments in Brooklyn and Rio . Their follow up album Lost Critters was released the following year and more recently the two released an EP titled Luck comes Too Late whose lead single ‘It Was Never That Easy’ charted on college radio in the US and Australia.
