KiD3RD is an artist, songwriter, producer and engineer from the San Fernando Valley. He comes from a well known family of musicians. His grandparents are Dick Griffey, founder of SOLAR Records and <a href="spotify:artist:6pFsfSCmKyG28Cyj5QMIFY" data-name="Carrie Lucas">Carrie Lucas</a> who was a soul singer on SOLAR Records. His mother is <a href="spotify:artist:26C2GVf9aqkTQpoJgi5Wkz" data-name="Carolyn Griffey">Carolyn Griffey</a> of <a href="spotify:artist:3REpOYo13YkVj1dFzda12A" data-name="Shalamar">Shalamar</a>. His father is Curtis Baldwin Jr. of the hit TV show 227. His musical influences range from Bob Marley to Kanye West and a wide range of genres. A lot of his production influence also comes from the musicians he grew up around such as his Father, <a href="spotify:artist:0oywmZ7vl6A3bQPTsN66Rm" data-name="DJ Battlecat">DJ Battlecat</a>, Jelly Roll, <a href="spotify:artist:0NPLwUXFBb5m3lAbEtWFrN" data-name="Blaqthoven">Blaqthoven</a> and many more west coast legends. KiD3RD started making beats at the age of 14 wanting to be an artist but not wanting to pay for production which molded him into the artist he is today.
